Annual Feast of St. Mary's Birth in Denver, CO

In the Diocese of the USA & Canada, sub-diocese of the western USA in the city of Denver, Colorado, the annual feast of the birth of St. Mary was held with great esteem on the 1st-3rd of Ginbot 2017 (May 9-11 2025).

What made this feast remarkable was the presence of fathers, chief priests, deacons and congregants in the hundreds from the Denver area.

Beginning on the eve of the feast, after completing the prayers and a brief resting period, the scholars and clergy that attended to honor the feast arose together to celebrate our mother the Holy Virgin Mary and her covenant. They completed the rites of the morning canticles with great dedication in the likeness of the angels. Subsequently, the Divine Liturgy rites were completed with the leading father Priest Amanuel from St. Gabriel’s church in Minnesota.

Following the Divine Liturgy, revered father Priest Simon from Holy Trinity in Las Vegas, NV presented the homily of the feast emphasizing how our lady’s covenant is the boast of mankind. Referencing both Old Testament and New they concluded giving advice to the congregation.

The church’s Ark procession was held with great honor and esteem led by chief reverend fathers, clergy bearing the cross and the censer, alongside congregants together orbiting the church. Concluding at the front of the church’s place of mercy, the scholars led in hymnody of the feast’s praises.

The feast was completed with prayer, supplication, benediction and hymns.
