Repentance: A New Day

“Through repentance the filth of our foul actions is washed away. After this, we participate in the Holy Spirit, not automatically, but according to the faith, humility and inner disposition of the repentance in which our soul is engaged. For this reason it is good to repent each day as the act of repentance is unending.”
— St. Symeon the New Theologian

Psalm 51-
"Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin.
For I acknowledge my transgressions, And my sin is always before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned, And done this evil in Your sight—That You may be found just when You speak, And blameless when You judge.

May the Lord guide us to true repentance.
May He 'forgive us of our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.'
May the prayer of our Lady Mary the Theotokos, & of all the Saints be with us.

Glory be to the Almighty God now, & forever, Amen!
