Who do you run to, when you’re frustrated?

Who do you run to? When you’re frustrated. When you’re faced with a hard decision. Who do you run to?

Daniel was faced with so many unexpected trials and situations. To give some context for the verse above, King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream but didn't know the meaning. He called for all the magicians, enchanters, sorcerers and astrologers to see if they knew the meaning of this dream. They all had no idea and deemed it impossible for anyone to know other than the gods. He then became really mad so he ordered that all the wise men of Babylon be executed. And because of the king’s decree, a guard was sent to find and kill Daniel and his friends. The guard came to kill them but Daniel was wise and discreet. He asked the guard why the king was doing this. Once he heard the answer Daniel went to the king and requested time so he could tell the king His dream.

Daniel was bold and had so much faith that he will know what the king dreamt of. Then he went to his friends and told them what happened and urged them to pray alongside him asking for God to “show them his mercy by telling them the secret, so they would not be executed along with the other wise men of Babylon. That night the secret was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven.” Daniel 2:18-19.

Daniels exemplifies the benefits and blessings God gives His people when they choose to live out their faith at any cost. He faced a leader with confidence that was rooted in God. Despite the situation, even when his life and his friends' lives were in danger, he didn't waver. He talked to his like minded friends, asking them to join him in prayer.

The source of our stress may vary, but the solution is always the same. My brothers and sisters, there is power in prayer. Go to God, run to Him as Daniel did. There's power in a godly community. People who you can go to when in hard circumstances that will not only pray for you but pray with you. People who are bold to bow down at the foot of His throne. As Daniel's friends did. So let me ask you my brothers and sister in Christ, will you go to the Lord, will you choose Him everyday, every min, every second of the day.
