The Word Became Flesh!

How could a King be born in a manger, be warmed by the breath of cattle, the creation that He created?
Why would God, the almighty, our creator, go to such lengths for us?

One from the Holy Trinity took a lowly state for the sake of His creation.
The Logos, the Word, came to teach us His word.
“And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: and the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him… And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.”

The prophecy of the great Isaiah predicts that the doctrine and the actions of Christ will unite myriads of previously divided and lost people of various faiths looking for the divine love, righteousness, and truth.

The angels sang, the shepherds came to see the true Shepherd of His people.
The Magi came to see the true all knowing Savior & King.
Gifts of Gold because He is King, Frankincense because He is God,
Myrrh for His sacrifice and death for our sake. The animals warmed Him with their breath.

Saint James of Serugh said on the occasion of Christ's Birth, "There was a dissension between God and man, and when man did not go to God to be reconciled, God came down to reconcile man to Him".

"If you come, all right, and if you do not come, as you like!" No, rather, He says: "if you do not come to Me, I will seek you, run after you, search for you and hold you, and I will keep on doing so until I restore you." God's head wishes to rest in the fatigued heart of man in order to give him rest and turn his fatigue into comfort.

“This Nativity night bestowed peace on the whole world; So let no one threaten;
This is the night of the Most Gentle One – Let no one be cruel;
This is the night of the Humble One – Let no one be proud.
Now is the day of joy – Let us not revenge;
In this Day of Peace – Let us not be conquered by anger. Today the Bountiful impoverished Himself for our sake; So, rich one, invite the poor to your table.

Today we receive a Gift for which we did not ask; So let us give alms to those who implore and beg us. This present Day cast open the heavenly doors to our prayers; Let us open our door to those who ask our forgiveness.

Today the Divine Being took upon Himself the seal of our humanity, in order for humanity to be decorated by the Seal of Divinity.”
